Hunt Sabs Not Guilty Of Aggravated Trespass!

Last Friday, two East Northants Hunt Sabs were found not guilty of aggravated trespass at St Albans Magistrate Court. The court case followed events at the closing meet of the Cambridgeshire Hunt with Enfield Chace Hunt on March 8th, 2025.

The sabs were initially arrested on multiple charges, most of which were then dropped once they were in custody. Both sabs had to receive medical treatment whilst in police custody for injuries inflicted by the hunt: one for serious concussion and the other for a bite from a dog being used for ‘security’ purposes. The sabs were eventually released around midnight on the Saturday. No hunt members sustained any injuries.

Aggravated trespass is defined as actively disrupting a lawful activity on private land while, as we all know, hunting wild mammals with dogs is a criminal offence.

Needless to say, East Northants Hunt Sabs were undeterred by this case.
